The one-of-a-kind
landscapes of Northen Patagonia are the site of some of the
most highly productive and least-fished rivers,lakes and streams
in the world.Fishing conditions are extremely varied,ranging
from crystal clear dry fly streams,to massive lake trout fishing
to gigantic emerald-green rivers with annuals runs of spawning
salmon of up to 20 kilos.Each year,avid anglers from across
the globe visit the world class lodges on the Futaleyu,Yelcho,Palena,Cisnes
and Baker Rivers;other hotspots are concentrated around the
city of Coihaique and general Carrera Lake.Fishing season last
from october to april ,and equipment is similar to that used
in the western US an Alaska.As a general rule,trout and salmon
in thisregion are unusually aggressive as most have never before
seen a fly.

in the Lake & River Yelcho- Northern Patagonia

DAY
1 CHAITEN
/ YELCHOTransfer from Chaiten to the “Yelcho en la Patagonia”
fishing lodge, located on the shore of Lake Yelcho. Welcome
and Lunch.In the afternoon half day fising on the lake or river
depending on the fishing conditions. Dinner and overnight.
DAY
2 YELCHOBreakfast in the lodge and departure
for a full days fishing. Lunch in the open air.This fly fishing
allows us to fish for rainbow trout and fario ( 1 to 3.5 kg
/ 2 to 8 lb. ). At the beginning and end of the season one may
find Atlantic salmon, coho and chinook. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 YELCHO Breakfast in the lodge.
Half day fishing in the morning, lunch at the lodge and half
day fishing in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 4 YELCHO / CHAITENBreakfast
in the lodge and departure for Chaitén.

1 YELCHOTransfer from Chaiten to the “Yelcho
en la Patagonia” fishing lodge, located on the shore of
Lake Yelcho. Welcome and Lunch. The fishing activities will
take place over 6 ½ days and will cover the following
areas: River Yelcho, Lake Yelcho, River Palena, River Futalelfú,
Lake Espolón and their surroundings. The sites will be
chosen according to weather condirions, fishing conditions and
to suit the fisherman’s taste.This fly fishing allows
us to fish for rainbow trout and fario. At the begining of the
season one may find Atlantic salmon, coho and Chinok whose weights
may reach 7 kg ( 15 lb).
